Surplus Hardware Page

Last updated 20021103

The Purpose of this page is to list the surplus hardware that Wombat Outdoor Adventures has. It is listed here in the hope that it will find another home where it can be put to good use rather than being thrown out.

The hardware is FREE to whoever wants it, provided you are not selling it to someone else. If it is for commercial purposes, then you are expected to pay a reasonable fee, which WOA will donate or use for the "charity/community group" of its choice.

Being FREE means that you do not pay for the hardware, but you do pay for the postage of the item. I will list the weight of the item in the table below. If the item does not have a weight, please email me and request it's weight. Lastly, add an allowance for packaging. All items are going to need some packaging, so you should double the weight of small items (say under 1kg). Other items, I suggest adding 1Kg/5kg of weight to allow for packaging.

Check The Item Is Available: Firstly: send me an email to check that the item you want is available. I will send you a confirmation, or woops-sorry. My apologies, but occassionally I do get run off my feet and forget to mark something as gone to another home and occassionally some pieces of hardware do become popular. In which case it is first-in-best-dressed.

How To Calculate The Postage

You have Two Weeks: Once you have sent me an email saying that you have sent the stamps, you have two weeks for the stamps to arrive. If they haven't arrived by them, your equipment goes back into the pool. In reality, I would expect your stamps to arrive within two days and, work permitting, your stuff to be posted within a few days.

Guarrantee: There Is None: Lets make this very clear up front. None of this equipment comes with a guarantee. We are not selling it, servicing it, supporting it or anything else. I will tell you what I know of the equipment. You make up your own mind.

I do not knowingly list broken equipment, unless it is clearly indicated as being for parts only. Some items I will list as they are suitable for parts, hobby cases, etc. These will be clearly listed as such. Make sure you read the description.

No Refunds: Just to labour the point, because some people take a while for stuff to sink in. There are no refunds of postage if the item turns out to be of no use to you, or not what you expected.

Software: Generally, we do not have any software for the items listed. If we do, it will be listed.

Heavy Items: Occassionally I have monitors, printers and the like. Obviously these can not be posted. That means they are courier or pick up only. Generally a courier will cost you $10. Some items are definitely pick up - bring your own fork lift.

Overseas: Yes, we will send items overseas, if you think it is worth it. Use the postage calculator, or arrange a Fed-Ex or similar pickup.

Other Bits: NO COD. No Plastic. Stamps Upfront.

The Codes (some parts will have one).
S = It will be scrapped when I next have a scrapping day.
P = I consider this as only suitable for parts (no I do not keep any parts).
R = Needs repairs. Some parts are worth keeping, but only worth repairing if needed (your cost).
