General Educational Activities

Environmental education is a full time activity and covers all ages.

Guided Walks

Here you will find many photographs of educational activites undertaken by Friends Of Smiths Creek (FSC) over the last ten years.

• Weed seeds spread by birds; an isolated broad leafed privet has become established.
• Identification; using a published key to identify te species of a particular casuarina tree.

Training Volunteers

All our volunteers receive on-going on-the-job and class training. Three volunteers have successfully undertaken further studies and have TAFE qualifications.

• Planning the attack; training young volunteers on a prickly customer (pyracantha).
